Bosco Lui, MSc, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Lui obtained his Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University Medical School and completed his Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery training there as well. He has a Master's degree in Auditory Neurophysiology from the University of Toronto. He speaks fluent Cantonese and English.
Dr. Lui has hospital privilege at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He also serves as Surgical Director of the Bone Conduction Hearing Aids Implantation Program, a fully funded program that surgically restores hearing in adult and pediatric patients with congenital deformities of the ear and chronic ear infections.
In addition, Dr. Lui has special interests in salivary gland surgery, computed-tomographic image guided surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses, and thyroid surgery. Serving as Lead Physician for Quality Based Review of Thyroid Surgery, he uses best evidence to direct the perioperative care of patients undergoing thyroid surgery at Markham Stouffville Hospital. To help expedite diagnosis of thyroid cancer, Dr. Lui performs fine needle aspiration biopsy of suspicious thyroid nodules for his patients.
Dr. Lui enjoys teaching physician trainees. As the University Department's Education Site Director at Markham Stouffville Hospital, he designs and administers the clinical curriculum for medical students during their formative experiences in Otolaryngology.
